 The practice of Tibetan Heart Yoga creates a strong foundation/anchor to the whispering Truth of our heart...that In giving we truly receive! This ancient art of yoga arrived in Tibet from its original birthplace in India over a thousand years ago and it combines traditional Buddhist meditation with the Indian form of yoga. 

Tibetan Heart yoga works on the heart in two ways: it makes the outer physical body healthy and strong (through postures/asana practices) and it opens the heart to love others unconditionally (through Loving kindness giving meditations). This practice is both similar to and very different from most kinds of yoga being taught today. The most important difference between this yoga tradition and the others is our focus during the practice. Our focus is completely heart centered on others vs. on ourselves, which differs from the case in our modern ego-based society.

Thus, in this series we will learn to: 

  • Understand the transformative practices of yoga postures and meditation techniques as forms of moving meditation...learning to apply this to our every day lives!
  • Unveil and become aware of our subtle, energetic body by Learning how the subtle winds of energy (prana) can become trapped and stagnant because of our lifestyles creating dis-ease that can then be returned to ease through the practice!
  • Generate the light of compassion around you as you walk in the world healing our hearts & lighting the way for others!

Classes presented Using Zoom Platform, HD Quality video. Stereo sound. 

1st Saturday morning class is 2hrs long (1hour intro to class lecture & 1hr class practice)

All 3 remaining classes in series 1 hour practice (to keep you consistent)

Heart Yoga is a system of asana and meditation drawn from teachings by masters in the GelukpaTibetan Buddhist tradition of the Dalai Lamas; a lineage created by the Indian yogi Naropawho lived about 1000 CE.   It brings powerful wisdom teachings from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition into daily asana and meditation practices.
